ABOUT GHK-CU
SIZE: 50MG, 100MG
GHK-Cu is not a plain peptide but a metal-coordination complex: a three-amino-acid backbone (glycine-histidine-lysine) chelated to a copper ion, which is what gives the lyophilized powder its distinctive blue or blue-green tint rather than the typical white of an unmodified peptide. Because the copper is bound into the molecule's structure, its measured mass can shift depending on whether an analysis captures the peptide alone or the full copper complex, which is a known quirk researchers account for when interpreting mass-spec results. It's studied mainly as a case example of peptide–metal coordination chemistry — how the copper affects the molecule's stability, solubility, and behavior compared to a copper-free peptide of similar size.
Research Applications Noted
