ABOUT ADAMAX
SIZE: 10 MG
Adamax is built directly off the Semax backbone but with two added modifications: an acetyl group attached at one end of the molecule and an adamantane group (a distinctive cage-like carbon structure) attached at the other. Those changes are what distinguish it chemically from unmodified Semax, even though the core sequence is shared. It's made through solid-phase peptide synthesis — a standard lab method for building peptides one amino acid at a time — and supplied as a lyophilized powder. Its main research role is as a comparison point: a modified variant researchers can study side-by-side with the parent Semax sequence to see how those structural changes affect the molecule's properties.
Research Applications Noted
- Analytical method development and reference characterization for sequence-specific peptides
- Comparative structural evaluation against the parent Semax sequence
